This agreement concerns a TICA registered cat/kitten offered for sale by the Breeder, Elizabeth Rakowitz, 7935 Triple Oaks Tr., San Antonio, Tx. 78263

Breeder's Responsibilities

1) The cat/kitten is a pedigreed Siberian and is registered with The International Cat Association (TICA).

2) The cat/kitten is healthy and free of infectious diseases known to the Breeder at the time of sale. The cat/kitten is current on vaccinations. The Breeder will provide a vaccination record.

3) Each kitten will be examined by the breeder's veterinarian before leaving the Cattery and will have an official health certificate if the cat/kitten is.

4) If the cat/kitten has been altered prior to leaving the Breeder's Cattery, the TICA Registration Form will be available (for cats/kittens more than six months old). If the Buyer is to have the cat/kitten altered, the Breeder will provide the TICA Registration Form upon receiving proof of alteration in the form of a letter or receipt from the veterinarian performing the sterilization procedure.

5) Both the Sire and the Dam of the cat/kitten are healthy and reside at the Cattery, the breeder of the kittens being the sole owner of them.

Health Guarantee

1) Kotyonok Cattery guarantees the health of the cat/kitten upon pick up from the Cattery or upon the time of shipment. The Breeder guarantees that the cat/kitten is FeLV negative, FIV negative, ringworm free, and guarantees against FIP for three months after he or she leaves the Cattery.

2) Cat/kitten is guaranteed to be free of any genetic defects for a period of one year after he or she leaves the Cattery. We will replace your kitten, or refund the purchase price, if diagnosed within the first (1) year of life that they have any serious congenital or heredity defect to the degree it is recommended by a licensed veterinarian that the cat's life be terminated. An autopsy must be performed by a licensed veterinarian and a certificate provided as proof of the cause of death along with all associated documentation including lab results from blood and tissue samples, x-rays, and shot records will be required by the breeder. The cat/kitten registration papers must also be returned. This guarantee will be void if there is evidence of trauma, abuse or neglect.

3) Kittens are sold having had their first and second set of vaccinations and are wormed. One kitten from each litter will be tested for FeLV/FIV and the results copied and given to the buyer. The kittens will visit our veterinarian at least twice before leaving our home. It is the responsibility of the Buyer to have kittens remaining vaccinations at their vet. A medical history is provided. Please give a copy of this to your veterinarian.

4) The breeder encourages the buyer to take the cat/kitten to their own veterinarian (at buyers' expense) within five business days. Should a veterinarian find this kitten has a major health problem during this time period, the breeder agrees to exchange the cat/kitten or refund the entire purchase price upon safe return of the kitten. If the kitten is easily treatable, the Breeder will pay for the treatment. The Breeder will not be responsible for the vets' checkup, but will be responsible for the vet visits and treatments for the treatable ailment.

A medical report signed by the veterinarian must be provided before a replacement or refund is made. The breeder will not replace or refund any cat or kitten that has not received adequate and appropriate care from the buyer.

5) Failure to quickly follow-up with any health related issues mentioned in this contract, such as getting the kitten vaccinated at the appropriate times or having regular checkups will automatically deem the health guarantee null and void.

Buyer's Responsibilities

1) The Buyer agrees to keep this cat/kitten clean, healthy, free from parasites, harassment and undue stress, in a sanitary environment of sufficient space, and in a safe and secure area. Buyers must provide annual examinations and booster shots, as well as ongoing veterinary care.

The Buyer agrees to provide prompt medical attention for this cat/kitten should it become ill. Cat/kitten must be kept in a home like environment and not subject to unnecessary confinement. Cat/kitten must not be caged.

2) The cat/kitten shall never be declawed under any circumstances. Buyer agrees to provide cat/ kitten with an adequate scratching post and use it along with regular nail clippings. Buyer also agrees never to let the cat/ kitten outside.

3) It is recommended that the buyer have the kitten tested for FeLV/FIV within the five-day period. One kitten from every litter in tested by a license veterinarian before leaving our cattery. If the Buyer has other cats in the household, they must test negative for FeLV/FIV by a licensed veterinarian prior to the cat/kitten entering the new home. Also, the other cats in the household must be current on all on their vaccinations.

4) Your cat/kitten has received the required vaccinations for his/her age, excluding the FIP and FeLV vaccines. Our veterinarian does not recommend these vaccines. If you choose to vaccinate for FIP and/or FeLV, we recommend that you discuss this with your own veterinarian. Your cat/kitten will not be going outdoors, but if other cats in your household are indoor/outdoor cats, they may expose your new cat/kitten to these diseases. Under these circumstances, your veterinarian may recommend it.

5) The cat/kitten will remain in the Buyer's possession for the whole of their lives. In the event that the Buyer or his/her immediate family cannot continue to provide a home for the cat/kitten for health or any other reasons, the Buyer will contact the Breeder to inform her. Breeder will accept the cat/kitten back into the Cattery for the fee of $25.00 paid to the Buyer.

6) Kittens sold, as pets will be neutered/spayed between 6-12 months of age. TICA registration form will then be provided with proof from the licensed veterinarian performing the procedure.

Shipping

If the cat/kitten has to be shipped, the costs will be paid by the Buyer. I will drive a cat/kitten part of the way for delivery or the Buyer may pick up the cat/kitten at my home. If I drive the cat/kitten, I ask for mileage reimbursement.

Signatures indicate full agreement with all of the above conditions. Do not write anything on this contract unless the Breeder is contacted, after which she will revise said contract and send to the Buyer.
